Hello my curvy Divas,

I know Solange is not a curvy girl but the way she has been SERVING up fashion lately has me looking at her more than I ever have before. Everytime I See Solange in recent pics her looks are always colorful sexy but still classy. In her latest shoot with Instyle the way she mixes prints and colors give me SOOOO much inspiration. I will definitely be mixing prints and colors in the near future and taking a page out of Solange's book to give you guys more curvy inspiration. Take a look at her photos:

Orange Crush

Good morning my curvy Divas,

This morning I'm starting your week off live in loving color literally. This weekend felt like Springtime in Mississippi so I took full advantage of it by rocking Spring colors!!! I went to an event at the Art Museum that was held outside so I wanted to look casual but still glam. I paired my thrifted orange blazer with a cobalt blue top that I got from Forever 21 like 2 years ago with some jeans and my newest leopard wedges. I had a blast!!!

New Polish- Polish Files

Hello my curvy ladies,

HAPPY FRIDAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! In case u were wondering what the new nail polish I'm rocking this week is it's my new fave color by Kleancolor called #11 Blue Pearl.......I am not a polish snob so I am always looking for cheap deals on pretty colors. I refuse to pay for Opi and Essie b/c I change colors like every week so it's no point.

I got mine from a local Beauty Supply Store. I think I'll be sticking with this color for awhile b/c I absolutely LOVE it!!!!!

Same Skirt Styled Differently- Thrift Finds OOTD

Good Morning my curvy Divas,

Have u ever bought a new item...well in my case thrifted a new item...and loved it so much u wore it 2 days in a row? Well that's exactly what I did this past weekend!!! I am in LOVE with this black skirt I recently thrifted. It's so classic yet so sexy to me that I wanted to wear it again!!! This time around I also paired it with another thrift find..a ruffled vintage blouse that I just couldn't leave at the store and I converted one of my necklaces that bends into a bracelet. My mate and I had dinner and a movie Sunday and this was my OOTD. I broke a cardinal rule in fashion and matched my eye makeup with my clothes...it wasn't so bad but I don't think I'll be doing that again ANYTIME soon....this blog is a journey of my successes and failures so this is one of my : I really don't like my makeup posts lollll...........It wasn't as sunny outside that day so I opted to do my photos in the house but I will definitely try to make my way back outside for my set OOTD post.

Why So Many Face Shots??- Topic Of The Day

Good Morning my curvy Divas,

We haven't discussed a topic since Does Blogging Make You Shop More so I wanted to tackle another issue today. I have sooooooo many beautiful and curvalicious facebook friends but the problem is most of the time, the world only gets to see them from the neck up. There is NOTHING wrong with showing off your beautiful face but I want my curvy ladies to be more confident about taking full body pics showcasing ALL of their beauty. We know your face is beautiful but that's not the only thing worthy of showing the world. No...... you may not be a size 2 or maybe not even a size 20 but guess what???......no matter WHAT size you are OWN your curves and work what you have to the best of your ability.

If you have low self esteem tackle whatever that issue is firsthand. Look in the mirror naked........YES I SAID NAKED...one night and learn to appreciate your curves sans clothes. If you learn to love your body with no clothes on feeling confident in clothes will be a breeze. Yes you're going to look and see a tummy that needs work, thighs that u may not love, but find that ONE thing about ur body that u love (for me I love my legs and butt)  and make sure that when u get dressed u dress in a way that highlights your favorite thing about your body. Even if weight loss is not a goal I have found that at least three times a week in the gym as little as 20 minutes a session will make you feel more sexy and confident about yourself.

If you don't like the way your body looks in clothes, find out what your bodyshape is...pear-shaped, round shaped, hourglass etc....and research ways to dress your body in ways that flatter your body type. The biggest mistake I see  a lot of curvier women make is putting on what looks good on someone else. Everything is not for everybody even if they make it in your size so make sure when u pick out clothes they are the ones that work for YOU and make you feel sexy about doing a full body photo session.


This post is not meant to offend I just want to encourage you to look past your necks and see the beauty of your ENTIRE body!!!!! Book Review- Never Satisfied...Do Men Know What They Really Want

Good Morning my curvy Divas,

I mentioned before that I am an avid reader and that I was going to be reviewing books as I finished them in case some of my blog readers wanted to check them out. This week I finished the book Never Satisfied: Do Men Know What They Want? by Michael Baisden.  I would HIGHLY recommend this book to any of my single readers and also my readers in relationships that want to know what men think about cheating and why they do it. He is not defending men in this book merely giving his opinion on why they do the things they do and what women are doing to subliminally make them think it's ok.


I have a lot of guy friends so none of the information was new to me because I hear candid details about sidechicks and mistresses all the time so this book was more of a refresher course. If you don't want to hear the truth DON'T read this book because this information is raw and uncut.

You want to know why men cheat?
Why can't men commit?
You want to know why you are never promoted to the girlfriend/wife but always end up as the "side chick/sex buddy/friends with benefits chick"?

Thrift Finds- OOTD (Nude, Red, And Printed Delights)

Happy Monday my curvy Divas,

I am SOOOOOOO not a Monday kind of person but to help brighten up your day I wanted to start off the week with a budget friendly look that can go from the boardroom to the bedroom to dinner and a movie. Minus the Jessica Simpson pumps and the handbag this look only costed me less then 20.00......the belt was $2.99.....the jacket was thrifted for 5.00 and the skirt was my thrift find of the weekend at 9.00!!! I am OBSESSED with anything animal print so when I saw the jacket I knew I just had to have it!! The label on both pieces are a medium that's why when you thrift TRY ON EVERYTHING b/c u just never know!!! I wore this on date night and even tho I had nothing showing I felt super sexy in this form fitted outfit. The only u get the less skin you have to show to feel super confident and haute!!!

The best part about being a shoe-aholic is that I have shoes that match nearly anything I can put together. I love how the jacket and shoes match almost perfectly like I bought them together instead of a year apart. Also, be on the lookout b/c I loved this skirt so much I wore it twice this weekend and styled it different the 2nd time. This must be #thriftfind week.

Casual Fridays

Hello my curvy Divas,

Today is a casual Friday post. This is actually what I wore last Friday night for a couples night out. I wanted to go for a casual glam look and my overall objective was comfort. I didn't want to wear any of my new things so I decided to go closet shopping so I can put all of my wardrobe to use. I chose a leopard shirt that I got from a local consignment shop, a khaki blazer I've had forever and ever, some jeans, my Carlos Santana brown peep toe pumps that have been sitting in my closet at least 6 months and I'm just now getting around to wearing them, and a DKNY  bag I've had forever. To add a little pizzazz to what I consider a "safe" outfit I chose my purple custom feather earrings :)
